On The Road Phoenix & San Diego

We drove from Tuscon to Phoenix.
We spent an evening with Theresa's cousin and his wife then two nights with friends from Lake of the Ozarks, Terry and Judy Stanley.

After mass, we had breakfast with Terry and Judy and then hit the road to San Diego - Tomorrow, we board the MS Oosterdam!

Western Arizona and eastern California are desert with lots of sand!

We passed a lot of windmills

The wind kicks up a lot of dust. While we did not encounter strong and extended dust storms, we did have enough to help understand it can be a serious problem

As we got closer to San Diego, we drove into heavier and heavier rains

We crossed the Coronado bridge in a pouring rain!  The hotel is designed with an open courtyard and offered little protection from the rain while unloading the car. But the locals were ecstatic, since it had been several weeks since their last rain!
 We board the ship tomorrow!
