Paray le Monial & Lyon Day 5 - 10/9 Sunday

We began once again on the bus.
We must be getting trained since it didn't seem too far to return to Paray le Monial where Our Blessed Lord revealed the Mystery of the Sacred Heart to a nun, Sr Margaret Mary Alacoque.

The modest chapel of the Sacred Heart commemorates the revelation to Sr Margaret Mary Alacoque

The fresco behind the altar depicts the revelation to Sr Margaret Mary Alacoque

Sr Margaret Mary Alacoque's body is incorrupt and is here in this chapel

The ambo is a beautiful reflection of the Sacred Heart

Nearby is the chapel dedicated to St Fr Claude Colombiere, confessor to Sr Alacoque. It was primarily through his guidance that the mystery of the Sacred Heart became known to the world.

Relics of St Fr Claude Colombiere are contained here
